Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Knuckles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knuckles has chosen Bob Wills - Deep in the Heart of Texas as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knuckles pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Knuckles throws a head kick but Hughes moves out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hughes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A leg kick checked by Hughes.
Hughes throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hughes closes the distance looking to clinch
and Knuckles counters with a thumping low kick.
Hughes wants to clinch up but Knuckles keeps it at a distance.
Hughes fails to land with a series of punches.
Hughes moves in looking to clinch but Knuckles pushes him off.
Hughes takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Knuckles fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hughes has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Hughes is breathing heavily.
Hughes tries to clinch there but Knuckles circles away.
Hughes moves out of range as Knuckles strikes.
Knuckles chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Knuckles dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Knuckles cracks Hughes with a right hand to the side of the head.

It looks like Ryan Hughes has been cut.
A head kick misses from Knuckles.
Knuckles wants to land a leg kick but Hughes is out of range.

Knuckles fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hughes manages to avoid it.
Hughes blocks a head kick by Knuckles.
Knuckles connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Knuckles wants to slow Hughes down by chopping away at his legs.
Knuckles avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Knuckles throws a head kick but Hughes moves out of range.
Knuckles misses with a body kick.
Knuckles tries a head kick but it misses.
Hughes looks to land a combination. Knuckles sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Knuckles avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hughes fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hughes moves in looking to clinch but Knuckles pushes him off.
Hughes wants to clinch up but Knuckles keeps it at a distance.

and Knuckles makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Hughes clinches up against the cage.
Hughes swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Knuckles manages to break the clinch.

Hughes is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hughes feints a jab promting Knuckles to slip. Hughes then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Knuckles slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Hughes looks to clinch
and Knuckles counters with a thumping low kick.
Hughes sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Knuckles listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
A nice inside leg kick there by Knuckles. That's going to slow Hughes down.
Hughes takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Ryan Hughes's cut is getting worse.

Knuckles lands a big head kick that sends Hughes tumbling to the mat! Knuckles takes a step backwards and waves Hughes back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Hughes is rocked!
Knuckles finds Hughes's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Hughes flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Knuckles lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Hughes will be OK.
