Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Sonny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Tocchet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Tocchet.

It looks like Jim Sonny has been cut.
Sonny lands an overhand right.

It looks like Rick Tocchet has been cut.
Sonny moves out of range of the strikes.
Tocchet looks to land a combination but Sonny avoids it well.
Sonny showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Tocchet.
Sonny takes a swing at Tocchet's ribcage but misses.
Jim Sonny seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sonny scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tocchet throws a body punch but Sonny moves out of range.

Sonny throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tocchet was covering up waiting for the punch and Sonny finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Sonny lands a couple of digs.
Sonny's corner is telling him to maintain position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sonny missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Sonny postures up in Tocchet's guard and throws a big left but Tocchet blocks it.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jim Sonny wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Sonny slips a jab and a cross from Tocchet.
The fighters circling - Sonny throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Tocchet takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Tocchet lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Sonny shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sonny looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tocchet is fending him off so far but Sonny persists. Nope, Tocchet circles away and we're back to standing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A punch lands to the side of Tocchet 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Sonny scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Sonny drops Tocchet with a naaaaasty hook - Tocchet is in real trouble here! Sonny dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
