Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rainn Hewitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximus Merceli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hewitt throws a nice head kick!
No joy there for Merceli, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nice takedown defense from Hewitt. No joy for Merceli on that attempt.
Merceli tries for a takedown but Hewitt circles away easily
and Hewitt counters with a head kick.
Hewitt chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Merceli looks for a takedown but Hewitt sprawls well.
Rainn Hewitt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maximus Merceli.
Hewitt bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Merceli looks gassed!
Hewitt turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Merceli takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Hewitt throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Merceli's head.
Merceli will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Merceli has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Hewitt.
Hewitt lands with a kick to the ribs.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Hewitt.
Hewitt thuds his shin into the meat of Merceli's side.
Hewitt lands a jab-cross combination.

Hewitt gets a clinch.
Hewitt trying to stall but Merceli improves his position.

Hewitt escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rainn Hewitt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hewitt clinches.
Merceli is still on wobbly legs! Can Hewitt finish him?
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Hewitt.
Merceli can't break the clinch.

Hewitt breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hewitt pounces like a tiger and cracks Merceli with a vicious hook! Merceli is down but not out! Hewitt follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
