Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ilkka Mursu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hanzo Judo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mursu comes to the cage accompanied by Someday I'll be the Champ. Hanzo Judo acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ilkka Mursu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hanzo Judo!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Judo closes the distance and clinches.
Judo with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Judo wants the takedown. Mursu is fighting it off but Judo persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Mursu's guard against the cage.

Judo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mursu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Judo has managed to get both his arms back between Mursu's legs - danger averted.

Judo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mursu is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Judo, into his guard.

Judo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Judo is on top in guard.

Mursu is working hard here to advance position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Mursu is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Judo defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mursu wants to improve his position but instead Judo has moved into half guard.
Judo is keen to just control but Mursu is a slippery customer.
Judo works his way into side control.
Mursu is looking to regain half guard here but Judo keeps moving and retains side control.
Mursu manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Judo wants to control but Mursu is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Mursu is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Judo defends it well.
Judo moves into full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Judo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Judo is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Mursu rolls with it to try and escape but Judo cranks on the arm and Mursu is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Hanzo Judo!
