The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schwager looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Schwager throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Palavra.
Palavra throws a head kick that misses.
Palavra shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Schwager is trying to defend but Palavra finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Palavra looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Schwager is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Palavra cracks Schwager with a big right hand but Schwager just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Palavra has an Americana. Schwager didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Palavra is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Palavra hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
