The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Moonra counters with a good, hard body kick but Jones shrugs it off.
A head kick misses from Moonra.
Moonra shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jones napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Moonra wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Moonra grinds an elbow into Jones 's temple.

Moonra cracks Jones with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Moonra lands a big left to the face of Jones , bouncing his head like a basketball. Another shot from Moonra and another - Jones is out! Moonra stands up and salutes his fans, who are going crazy in the stands.

After winning the bout, Jacob Moonra thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
