The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Leonard throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Egan's waist but Egan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Leonard off to one side.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

No joy there for Egan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Leonard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Egan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Leonard's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Leonard's back!
A lull in the action here.
Egan is trying to stick to Leonard's back but Leonard is turning into Egan. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Egan's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Leonard.
