The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruffin tries to score a power double leg takedown but The Blanket sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ruffin somewhat.
Ruffin connects with a nice looking jab.

The Blanket shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. The Blanket showed some decent athleticism there.
Ruffin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. The Blanket is working away from the top position though.
The Blanket tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ruffin knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Ruffin makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ruffin.
Ruffin avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Ruffin is looking to sinch up a triangle. The Blanket throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Ruffin's body to avoid the submission. Ruffin has instead reached around The Blanket's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Ruffin arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
