Styles kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Jay-Z Ft. Kanye West- Niggas in Paris. Paterson has chosen Guerilla Radio by Rage Against The Machine as his entrance music. David Paterson has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Derric Styles's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Styles wants to slow Paterson down by chopping away at his legs.
Derric Styles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paterson with a poor takedown
and Styles counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Paterson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Styles makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Styles connects with a good right hand that stumbles Paterson. Paterson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Paterson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Styles counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Paterson thinking.
Derric Styles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Paterson.
Paterson looks gassed!
Styles fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Paterson checks it well.
The crowd cheers as Styles lands an impressive looking overhand right. Paterson doesn't seem phased though.
Styles lands a right hook to the body.
Paterson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Styles.
Paterson is trying desperately to land a takedown but Styles is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Paterson.

Styles scoring well with a low kick there.
Paterson on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Styles digs a good hook to Paterson's body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Styles feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Paterson's calf.
Styles throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Paterson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Paterson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Styles lands a left and a right that send Paterson crashing to the mat, dazed. Styles thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Paterson is rocked!
Styles throws a nice outside leg kick.
Styles cracks Paterson with a hook to the temple - Paterson is on wobbly legs here! Styles swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Paterson falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Styles wins by TKO!
