The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bourque shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Smith listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Smith throws a lazy uppercut
and Bourque counters with a left and a right that stings Smith.
Bourque lands with a nice combination. Smith backs away looking to recover.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bourque moves away.
Smith slips under a jab from Bourque.
Smith takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Smith throws a series of punches but Bourque moves out of range.
Smith throws an overhand right that lands on Bourque's shoulder, as Bourque tries to avoid the shot.
Smith misses the body punch
and Bourque counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Smith misses with a wild body shot.
Smith misses with a series of wild punches.
Smith throws a right and a left that both miss.

Smith swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bourque counters with a series of strikes. Smith will be more careful next time no doubt.
It looks like Kyle Smith has been cut.

Bourque bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Smith connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Bourque avoids a punch combination nicely.
Smith throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bourque makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Bourque cracks Smith with a right hand to the side of the head.

Smith falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bourque counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Smith is breathing heavily.
Bourque connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Smith momentarily.
Smith throws a series of punches but Bourque avoids them all with ease.
Smith takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

letting Bourque counter with a right hand.

Smith steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bourque.
Bourque tests Smith's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Oh Smith is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bourque has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Smith throws a body punch but Bourque moves out of range.
Bourque is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Smith had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Smith throws a right hand that misses
and Bourque counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Smith seems to have got his legs back now.
Bourque lands a big uppercut and Smith crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Smith looks OK. Bourque waves Smith back to his feet!
Bourque misses with a wild body shot.
Smith misses with a looping left.
Smith slips a jab from Bourque.
Bourque is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Smith misses with a few strikes there.

Bourque jabs at Smith's body.

Bourque takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

and Bourque counters with a crisp one two that drops Smith! Bourque thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Smith to his feet! Smith is in big trouble!
Bourque is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Smith misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bourque.
Smith throws a big shot that misses.
Smith misses with a double jab
and Bourque connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Smith rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Bourque counters with a straight right hand.
Bourque lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Smith out cold! Smith is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
