Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ashon Yates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andres Rizal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rizal has chosen bebot as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ashon Yates!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andres Rizal!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rizal doesn't manage to clinch there - Yates circles away.
Rizal looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Rizal moves to clinch but Yates breaks away

and Yates decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rizal's guard.
Yates is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Yates thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Rizal is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Yates is controlling him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rizal looks gassed!
Yates is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rizal fails with the takedown

and Yates counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Yates.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rizal is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Yates controlling from the top position.
Yates seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rizal for as long as he can get away with.

Yates drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Yates seems to have locked his on tight now - Rizal screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Yates, as he picks up the win!
