Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hideto Matsumoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimmo Kinnunen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hideto Matsumoto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kimmo Kinnunen!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Matsumoto rushes Kinnunen and presses him up against the cage.

Matsumoto successfully pulls guard.
Matsumoto wants to stand and escape but Kinnunen is having none of it.
Matsumoto looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kinnunen is one step ahead there.
Kinnunen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Matsumoto swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kinnunen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kinnunen trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kinnunen sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Matsumoto's guard.

Matsumoto pushes Kinnunen off and gets back to his feet.

It looks like Kimmo Kinnunen has been cut.
Matsumoto shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kinnunen pinned against the cage. Kinnunen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Matsumoto closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Kinnunen has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Matsumoto is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Matsumoto lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Matsumoto breaks from the clinch.
Matsumoto lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kinnunen backs up against the cage.
Matsumoto dips to his left and cracks Kinnunen with an uppercut!
Kinnunen wants to land a leg kick but Matsumoto is out of range.

Matsumoto fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kinnunen, pushing him back against the cage.

Matsumoto breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Matsumoto counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kinnunen!
Matsumoto is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kinnunen can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Matsumoto is landing with some decent strikes but Kinnunen is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Matsumoto is breathing heavily.
Kinnunen really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Kinnunen tries to hold on but Matsumoto pushes him away.

Kinnunen has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Matsumoto should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Kinnunen has tightened it up now! Matsumoto should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
