Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wanderlei Pope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Default Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Emerson Jorge and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter shoots for a takedown but Pope saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Pope is looking to clinch.
Pope scores with a jab to the head.
Pope gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Fighter counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Pope has hold of one of Fighter's legs. Fighter is fighting the takedown attempt but Pope gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Fighter keeping moving, preventing Pope from controlling successfully.
Pope looking to pass the guard.
Fighter has his foot on Pope's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pope works his way back into a safe position though.
Fighter tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Fighter is looking for a triangle but Pope pushes his legs off easily.
Pope has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Fighter is proving hard to escape from.

Fighter wants to control but Pope is keeping busy.
Pope seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fighter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Pope is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fighter is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Fighter is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pope's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pope's back!
Fighter is working hard for the rear naked choke here.

Pope tries to escape but Fighter has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Pope is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Fighter gets his way!

Fighter is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Pope defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Pope can't escape the position.
Fighter is trying to stick to Pope's back but Pope is turning into Fighter. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Fighter's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Pope.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fighter is on top in guard.
Fighter is pushing down on Pope's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pope is fighting to maintain full guard but Fighter has managed to sneak the leg through.

Fighter is chipping away with strikes.
Fighter lands some shots froms side control.

It looks like Wanderlei Pope has been cut.
Fighter lands a strong strike to the head of Pope. That's dazed him! Fighter looking to finish here. Pope is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Fighter lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
