Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Boykin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Sheets (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sheets has chosen Hits from the bong--Cypress Hill as his entrance music. Terry Sheets is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sheets feints and as Boykin raises his hands in defense, Sheets changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sheets pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Boykin is keeping the position for now.
Sheets throwing strikes but missing.
Sheets working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Boykin wants to stand and escape but Sheets is having none of it.
Boykin is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Boykin can't keep his opponent in guard - Sheets advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Sheets not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Sheets is looking to advance position but Boykin won't allow it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Boykin throws a head kick that misses.
Sheets swats away the attempt to clinch by Boykin.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Boykin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Sheets counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Sheets drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sheets jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Boykin wants to get back to his feet but Sheets is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Boykin is breathing heavily.
Sheets throwing strikes from guard but Boykin blocks nicely.
Sheets content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Boykin has momentary wrist control but Sheets slips an elbow through the middle.
Sheets stands up over Boykin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Sheets is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Oh Boykin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sheets has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Sheets with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Sheets is in close to Boykin's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Sheets keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Boykin's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boykin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sheets takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Sheets winds up and cracks Boykin with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Boykin has hold of Sheets's hands but Sheets slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Sheets is working for a submission of some sort.
Sheets seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sheets connects with a nice short shot to Boykin's temple.

Sheets is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Boykin is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
