Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeremy Durden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ian Mcdonald!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durden wants to clinch up but Mcdonald keeps it at a distance.
Durden tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mcdonald swats him away and circles back towards the center.
No joy there for Durden, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mcdonald getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Mcdonald closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mcdonald lands in his opponent's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Mcdonald stays in close to Durden's body and controls the position.
Mcdonald trying to control the position from guard on top but Durden is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Durden is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Mcdonald manages to get to full guard.
Mcdonald has Durden pulled in close to control his posture.

Mcdonald is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Mcdonald manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Durden manages to get himself to full guard.
Mcdonald sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Mcdonald passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Mcdonald lands an elbow.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mcdonald controls the position.

Mcdonald thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Durden is letting Mcdonald control him for a moment.

Mcdonald is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Durden is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Mcdonald is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Durden looks calm but he's in trouble here. Mcdonald gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Durden is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Mcdonald lets go of the hold and Durden can pop his arm back in it's socket.
