Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zach Kamaina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Vieira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kamaina is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Vieira looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kamaina is fending him off so far but Vieira persists. Nope, Kamaina circles away and we're back to standing.
Kamaina shoots in for a takedown but Vieira shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Vieira forces Kamaina back against the cage and clinches.

Kamaina jumps into guard, dragging Vieira to the mat.
Vieira stopping the sweep attempt from Kamaina.
Vieira is looking to stand up but Kamaina won't let him.
Kamaina trying to keep a closed guard but Vieira is proving a slippery customer.

Vieira is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kamaina sees it coming and defends easily.
Vieira prevents Kamaina from improving his position.
Kamaina is trying to maintain the position but Vieira is very close to passing his half guard.

Vieira decides to stand and escape the position.
Kamaina doesn't manage to clinch there - Vieira circles away.

Kamaina shoots in for a takedown but Vieira shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Vieira tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kamaina paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Vieira misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A shot to the liver by Vieira. Beautiful body shot.
Vieira scores with a leg kick.

Vieira fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kamaina, pushing him back against the cage.

Vieira pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vieira has his hands on Kamaina's head, controlling the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kamaina in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Vieira pulls Kamaina in close to his closed guard and prevents Kamaina from doing any damage or advancing position.

Kamaina won't allow Vieira to get back to his feet.
Kamaina throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Kamaina stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vieira swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Vieira is controlling Kamaina's posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Leo Vieira was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Kamaina moves in looking to clinch but Vieira pushes him off.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kamaina shoots for a double leg takedown but Vieira sprawls well. He's pushed Kamaina's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zach Kamaina. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kamaina fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Vieira moves into the clinch successfully.
Kamaina tries to break free but Vieira pushes him back against the cage.
Vieira tries to pull guard but Kamaina holds him up against the cage and eventually Vieira drops back down to his feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Vieira is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Leo Vieira dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


A punch combination from Vieira misses.
Vieira tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kamaina paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Zach Kamaina is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kamaina closes this distance looking for a takedown but Vieira circles away.
Vieira throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kamaina's waist but Kamaina gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vieira off to one side.

Vieira darts in and clinches Kamaina up against the cage.
Vieira jumps guard but Kamaina turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Vieira pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kamaina tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kamaina chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Vieira can pounce on him.
Vieira scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kamaina doesn't seem bothered though.
Vieira fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kamaina keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Zach Kamaina has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leo Vieira.
Vieira takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Vieira is breathing heavily.

Vieira drives through and clinches with Kamaina against the cage.
Vieira jumps guard but Kamaina turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Kamaina is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Vieira can't fight it off and eventually Kamaina manages to take the fight to the floor. Vieira looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kamaina is pushing down on Vieira's leg trying to pass to half guard. Vieira is fighting to maintain full guard but Kamaina has managed to sneak the leg through.
Vieira has his hands clasped together around Kamaina's back. He's all about the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vieira tries to kick Kamaina off but Kamaina keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Kamaina is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Vieira defends it well.
Kamaina seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Vieira does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Kamaina is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vieira doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kamaina.
Kamaina wants to take a breather but Vieira is having none of it.

Kamaina is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Vieira is not content to let Kamaina control the position.
Kamaina thows a huge punch but Vieira dodges it nicely.
Vieira is staying active underneath Kamaina, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Kamaina is trying to work for a kimura but Vieira is defending well.
Vieira keeping hold of Kamaina's head, controlling as best he can.

Vieira's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Vieira looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kamaina tries to clinch but Vieira moves away

and Vieira counters by moving into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Zach Kamaina will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Kamaina throws a sloppy head kick and Vieira moves out of range easily.
Vieira fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kamaina shoots in looking for a takedown. Vieira tries to sprawl out of it but Kamaina keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vieira manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kamaina closes the distance and clinches.
Vieira is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kamaina looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Kamaina misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Vieira.

Vieira pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Vieira fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kamaina is looking to clinch but Vieira is avoiding it.
Kamaina tries to close the distance and clinch but Vieira swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
An inside leg kick lands from Vieira.

Kamaina closes the distance and clinches.
Vieira jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kamaina walks away with a smile on his face. Vieira gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Kamaina moves in looking to clinch but Vieira pushes him off.
Leo Vieira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vieira instigates a clinch.

Kamaina pulls guard effortlessly.

Kamaina looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Vieira passes into half guard.
Kamaina wants to get back to full guard but Vieira has passed into side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kamaina manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Vieira looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vieira not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Vieira content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Kamaina wants to control but Vieira is keeping busy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Vieira swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kamaina fails with an attempt to clinch.
Vieira is looking to clinch.
Vieira shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kamaina as he jumps to the side.
Zach Kamaina has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leo Vieira.
Vieira misses with a takedown attempt - Kamaina sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kamaina wants to clinch up but Vieira keeps it at a distance.
Vieira shoots for a double leg takedown but Kamaina sprawls well. He's pushed Vieira's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Kamaina turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Leo Vieira seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Vieira swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Kamaina counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kamaina tries to pass the half guard into mount. Vieira knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Vieira tries to kick Kamaina off in order to stand up. Kamaina Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Vieira is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Kamaina tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Kamaina decides to take the fight back to the feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Zach Kamaina showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Kamaina has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
