Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Raymond Chow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Cuervo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Raymond Chow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 1, fighting out of London, Jose Cuervo!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chow looks to score with a jab to the body but Cuervo is just out of range.
No joy there for Cuervo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cuervo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A punch combination from Cuervo misses.
Cuervo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cuervo misses with a double jab
and Chow counters with a straight right hand.
Chow fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cuervo avoids it really well and circles away.

Chow bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Chow is looking to take a break and control but Cuervo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Cuervo tries to buck Chow off but Chow is having none of it.
Chow connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Cuervo some visible discomfort.

Chow thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chow wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cuervo keeps working.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cuervo is looking for a sweep.

Chow is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cuervo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Cuervo tries to improve position but can't.
Chow trying to control the position but Cuervo is working away.
Cuervo is trying to control Chow's posture but Chow avoids it.
Cuervo is letting Chow control him for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chow advances nicely into full mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chow lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Chow wants to control the pace but Cuervo is squirming around nicely.
Chow lands with some strikes.
Cuervo wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chow punishing his opponent with strikes.
Cuervo wants to control but Chow is having none of it.
Chow lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.


Cuervo is rocked!
Chow loads up with a big shot that hurts Cuervo! He's pulled Chow in close but Chow has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Cuervo survive? More strikes from Chow and Cuervo is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Raymond Chow!
