The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carraretto misses with a wild body shot.
Thompson throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Thompson lands an overhand right.
Thompson throws a solid leg kick but Carraretto takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Thompson.
Carraretto needs to keep his hands up - Thompson had a free shot at his head there.
Carraretto lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Carraretto moves out of range of the leg kick from Thompson.
Thompson has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Carraretto.
Carraretto looks to land a left hand but Thompson moved out of range nicely.
Carraretto displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Thompson throws out the jab.
Carraretto lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Carraretto throws a strike but Thompson avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Thompson has Carraretto pulled in close to control his posture.
Carraretto throws an elbow that misses. Thompson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Carraretto's guard. Nice move by Thompson!
