Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jet Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hoso Alvy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hoso Alvy!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li works over Alvy's head and body with a nice combination.

Li moves into the clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Li takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Li breaks the clinch.
Alvy takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Alvy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Li counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Alvy thinking.
Li connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Li rushes Alvy and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Alvy blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Alvy has Li pressed against the cage, preventing Li from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Li escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Alvy is trying to pull guard but Li turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Li breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hoso Alvy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Li keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Li lands a jab to the head.
Alvy doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Li counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Alvy thinking.
Jet Li has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hoso Alvy.

Li lands a right hand that snaps the head of Alvy backwards.

Li breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Li presses Alvy against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Li works on Alvy's body with a couple of short punches.
Li stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

and Li holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Jet Li is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Li throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

and Li counters with a series of strikes. Alvy will be more careful next time no doubt.

Alvy takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Li tries to close the distance and clinch but Alvy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Li scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Li connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Alvy to the floor! Li dives in looking for the finish!

Alvy is rocked!
Li seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Alvy is still in real trouble! Can Li finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Li is nestled in close to Alvy, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Li is trying to control the action in half guard but Alvy is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Li tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Alvy.

Alvy seems to have recovered his senses.
Alvy moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Li knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alvy on the ground.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Alvy tries for a takedown but Li circles away easily
and Li counters with a good low kick that Alvy was not able to check.
Li lands a nice leg kick that just misses Alvy's sensitive parts.

and Li counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Alvy is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Li clinches up against the cage.
A short right from Li on the inside.
Alvy tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Li just stands there and leans against the cage.
Jet Li has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hoso Alvy.
Li is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Alvy is breathing heavily.

Li's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Li throws a front kick that sends Alvy stumbling back into the cage.
Alvy drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Li lands a high kick to the side of Alvy's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Li dives into guard, looking to finish.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Li wants to stand but Alvy is controlling his posture from full guard.

Li avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Alvy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Li defends it easily.

Li has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Alvy to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Li is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Alvy pulls down on the head and he's put Li to sleep! This one is all over!
