Hughes shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Shady is trying to defend but Hughes finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Hughes thows an elbow strike that misses. Shady gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Hughes doesn't seem too bothered but Shady quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Hughes is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Hughes really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.
