Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Me Gusta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiaguin Leite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leite on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Gusta fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Leite looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Leite doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Gusta keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Gusta scores with a push kick.
Gusta throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Me Gusta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Leite tries to clinch but Gusta moves out of range.
Leite avoids a punch combination nicely.

Leite is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gusta. Leite does a little dance to reset his feet.

Leite takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Gusta thumps Leite with a low kick.
Gusta just misses with a punch to the body.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Gusta, right into the meat.
Gusta stuffs the takedown attempt from Leite. Leite gets slowly back to his feet.
Me Gusta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiaguin Leite.
Gusta throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Me Gusta is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gusta throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
A slapping leg kick lands for Gusta.

Gusta is looking to wear down Leite with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Leite throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gusta's waist but Gusta gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Leite off to one side.
Leite is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Gusta.

Leite bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Leite wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gusta keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Leite in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gusta pushes Leite away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Leite gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Leite in side control lands a decent elbow.

Gusta wants to control but Leite postures up.
Leite throws an elbow but Gusta slips to the side and avoids it well.

Leite tries for a kimura but Gusta is defending well.
Gusta is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Check out the look on Leite's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Leite controls the position.
Leite wants to control but Gusta is keeping him busy.
Gusta is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Gusta takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Gusta is pushing Leite's head away, looking to escape. Leite manages to hold on to the position though.

Leite stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Leite shoots for a takedown but Gusta saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Gusta throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Leite throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gusta's waist but Gusta gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Leite off to one side.

Leite takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Leite blocks a head kick by Gusta.
Leite shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Gusta dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gusta lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Leite takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Gusta throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gusta lands with a good body shot.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Leite will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Leite missing with a left hand there. Gusta was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Leite shoots in but Gusta avoids the takedown attempt easily.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Gusta's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Leite shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gusta as he jumps to the side.
Gusta fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Gusta ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Leite moves away.
Leite tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gusta swivels and escapes.
Leite shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Me Gusta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiaguin Leite.
Leite looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gusta is fending him off so far but Leite persists. Nope, Gusta circles away and we're back to standing.
Gusta connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Leite momentarily.

Me Gusta is winning the standup battle so far.
That kick from Gusta tenderised Leite's leg. Leite is trying to keep his angry face on.

Gusta lands with a kick to the temple. Leite shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Leite is breathing heavily.
Gusta throws a quick inside leg kick.
Gusta thuds a left hand into Leite's body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Leite's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Nice uppercut lands for Gusta. That snapped Leite's head back.

Leite is rocked!
Thiaguin Leite is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Leite doesn't manage to clinch there - Gusta circles away.
Leite is still on wobbly legs! Can Gusta finish him?
A solid leg kick lands there for Gusta.
Gusta connects with a high kick.
Gusta connects with a combination that backs up Leite into the cage. Gusta lands a flurry of punches that gets past Leite's guard. Leite is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Gusta bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
