The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Ivan Kurochkin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan tries a head kick but it misses.
Piotrow misses with a double jab.
Morgan throws a right hand that Piotrow ducks under and follows up with a left that Piotrow also avoids with ease.
Piotrow takes a swing at Morgan's ribcage but misses.
Morgan misses with a jab, cross combination.

Morgan tries to keep at a distance but Piotrow has taken the fight into the clinch.
Morgan is looking to break free of the clinch but Piotrow has double underhooks.
Piotrow has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Morgan avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Piotrow has Morgan pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Piotrow pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Morgan tumbling to the mat - Piotrow dives into Morgan's guard.
Morgan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Piotrow controls the pace.
Piotrow is looking to work some ground and pound but Morgan has wrist control.
Morgan wants to get back to his feet but Piotrow is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Piotrow drops back looking for a leg! Morgan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Morgan manages to kick Piotrow off! Piotrow jumps back into Morgan's guard.
Piotrow stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Morgan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Piotrow accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Piotrow has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Morgan regains half guard there - taking advantage of Piotrow's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Morgan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Piotrow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Piotrow landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Piotrow wants to work for an arm triangle but Morgan is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Piotrow has control of Morgan's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Morgan regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Piotrow is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Morgan is surviving well by controlling Piotrow's body position as best he can.

Morgan's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Piotrow breaks from Morgan's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Morgan has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Piotrow's lack of action.

Piotrow is keen to just control but Morgan is a slippery customer.

Piotrow frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Piotrow tries to close the distance and clinch but Morgan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Piotrow is defended easily by Morgan.

Morgan wants to stand but Piotrow has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Piotrow had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Morgan defends it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Morgan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Piotrow circles away quickly and effectively.
Piotrow shoots in for a takedown but Morgan shows good takedown defense.

Piotrow closes the distance and pushes Morgan back into the cage.
Piotrow is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Morgan is defending well for now.

Piotrow is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Morgan has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Morgan!
