PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mirko Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jong Bak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Filipovic comes to the cage accompanied by Duran duran - Wild Boys. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bak just misses with a punch to the body.
Bak throws a lazy right hand but Filipovic sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Bak feints and as Filipovic raises his hands in defense, Bak changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bak wants to control from the top but Filipovic keeps moving.

Bak drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bak jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bak has gone for a leg lock! Filipovic slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bak's guard.

Bak working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Filipovic doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Bak is tightening it up a little... Filipovic has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Filipovic reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Filipovic taps out! Nice BJJ there by Bak!
