Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutten swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kharitonov counters with an outside leg kick.
Kharitonov takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Kharitonov forces Rutten back against the cage and clinches.
A bit of stalling here from Kharitonov.
Rutten with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Kharitonov misses with a knee strike.
Kharitonov throws a punch but it's blocked by Rutten.
Kharitonov trying to land knees to the body.
Kharitonov is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rutten is defending well for now.
Kharitonov misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Rutten.
Kharitonov lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Rutten or not.
Kharitonov can't find room to land a body shot as Rutten controls the action.
Kharitonov tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Rutten avoids it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rutten breaks the clinch.
Rutten misses with the combination.
Rutten cracks Kharitonov with a right hand to the side of the head.
Kharitonov scores with a head kick.

Rutten tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kharitonov was well out of range. Poor timing from Rutten.
Kharitonov looks to land a left hand but Rutten moved out of range nicely.
Kharitonov with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Rutten moves out of range of the body kick.
Kharitonov misses with a head kick.
Kharitonov goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Rutten drops Kharitonov with a left right combo! Rutten follows him down to the ground into side control.

Kharitonov is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Rutten looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Kharitonov keeps Rutten under control for a moment.
Rutten throwing strikes but Kharitonov manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Rutten bucks up and tries to throw Kharitonov off but instead Kharitonov has got his back!

Rutten is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Kharitonov.
Kharitonov's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Serg Kharitonov has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
A combination from Rutten does no damage.
Kharitonov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Rutten circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Kharitonov to the canvas! Kharitonov doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Rutten keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
