Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Doblez Mundo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Doblez Mundo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Suzuki!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mundo tries a head kick but it misses.
Mundo stuffs the takedown attempt from Suzuki. Suzuki gets slowly back to his feet.
Mundo throws a head kick but Suzuki moves out of range.
Mundo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mundo ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Mundo tries a low kick but Suzuki avoids it.
Mundo throws a head kick that misses

and Suzuki counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Suzuki lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Suzuki wants to pass the guard but Mundo is keeping the position.
Mundo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Suzuki not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Doblez Mundo.
Mundo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mundo misses with a body kick.

Suzuki clinches.

Suzuki has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mundo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Suzuki manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mundo manages to get himself to full guard.
Suzuki stays in close to Mundo's body and controls the position.

George Suzuki has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Mundo misses with a looping right.

Mundo keeps the fight on the outside.
Doblez Mundo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Suzuki avoids a kick to the body.
Suzuki tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Suzuki misses with a wild combination.
Suzuki blocks a head kick by Mundo.
Mundo throws a shot from downtown. Suzuki moves away and avoids it.
Mundo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Suzuki shoots in for a takedown but Mundo shows good takedown defense.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mundo lands a jab to the head.
Mundo goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Suzuki throws a series of punches but Mundo avoids them all with ease.
Mundo just misses with a punch to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

George Suzuki dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Suzuki counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Suzuki is fighting to break Mundo's control of his arms but Mundo is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Suzuki is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

OK we're going to have a standup here. George Suzuki hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Suzuki swings for the body but Mundo moves out of range.

Suzuki closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. George Suzuki wasn't active enough on the ground.
No joy there for Mundo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Suzuki misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Suzuki tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mundo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Doblez Mundo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Suzuki is defended easily by Mundo.
Suzuki blocks the body kick.

Mundo tries to keep at a distance but Suzuki has taken the fight into the clinch.
Suzuki looking to stall.
Suzuki is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Mundo has denied him.

Suzuki has hold of one of Mundo's legs. Mundo is fighting the takedown attempt but Suzuki gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mundo will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Suzuki stands up from Mundo's guard - Suzuki perhaps looking for a knockout.
Doblez Mundo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Suzuki closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mundo circles away.
Doblez Mundo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Suzuki.
Mundo throws a low kick but Suzuki moves out of range easily.
Mundo misses with a two punch combination.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mundo enables Suzuki to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mundo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Suzuki looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mundo is looking to escape.
Suzuki stalling.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Suzuki stands up out of the half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

George Suzuki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Suzuki shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mundo as he jumps to the side.
Mundo fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Suzuki checks it well.
Mundo thows a body shot but no joy.
Suzuki dives in and grabs Mundo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mundo pushes down on Suzuki's head and hops out.
Mundo swats away the attempt to clinch by Suzuki.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Suzuki.
Doblez Mundo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Suzuki.

Suzuki looking to score a takedown here. Mundo is defending well but Suzuki drives through and ends up in Mundo's guard.

Suzuki gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Suzuki shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Suzuki working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Mundo turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Suzuki off and cradles Mundo's limp body as Suzuki celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). George Suzuki!
