Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Berkovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Powell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Powell comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Thndrkss 65 kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powell throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Powell takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Berkovic tries to close the distance and clinch up but Powell swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Berkovic scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

It looks like Robert Powell has been cut.
Powell looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Berkovic cracks Powell with an uppercut from hell and Powell crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Berkovic's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Berkovic trying to control but Powell is working from the bottom.
Berkovic is really struggling to control Powell but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Berkovic tries to stand but Powell is controlling from the bottom.
Berkovic stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Powell swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Berkovic drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Berkovic seems to have locked his on tight now - Powell screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Berkovic, as he picks up the win!
