Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Karl Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Can't be touched - Roy Jones Jr.. Luke Couture is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Karl Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Couture avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Couture manages to avoid it.
Couture slips a jab and a cross from Jones.

Jones throws the left hand but Couture avoids the punch easily.

and Couture counters with a shoot takedown. Jones fights it but they end up in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones is looking to stand back up but Couture counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Jones.

Jones has hold of Couture's hands but Couture slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Couture seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Jones is trying to escape back to his feet but Couture uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Jones is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Jones is trying to buck Couture off.
Jones is working to avoid the ground and pound but Couture connects with a decent elbow.
Jones takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Jones prevents Couture from improving position.
Jones on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jones tries to get out of the position.
Couture is working Jones over with some ground and pound from side control.
Couture throws a strike aimed at the side of Jones's head but Jones avoids it well.

Jones is not content to let Couture control the position.

Jones takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Couture tries to score with some ground and pound. Jones controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Jones wants to get back to his feet but Couture is dominant here and he's now got Jones's back!
Can Jones hold on?! Couture is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Couture lands with a hammerfist to the side of Jones's head.
Jones holding both Couture 's hands and preventing any damage.
Couture throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Jones!
Jones controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Couture has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Jones is trapped and Couture is scoring with shots to the head and body.

Couture scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Jones is looking for a way out.
Oh Jones is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Couture is scoring with a succession of shots from the back. Jones is covering up - he's had enough and the ref steps in to end the fight!

A relieved looking Luke Couture thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
