Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Nick Cage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sean Jitsu!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cage misses with a double jab.
Jitsu thows a left - swing and a miss!
Jitsu blocks a jab.
The fighters circling - Jitsu throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Cage throws a nice inside leg kick.
Jitsu has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jitsu there as he acknowledges the shot.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Cage.

and Cage takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cage ducks right into an uppercut from Jitsu.

Cage loads up on a big right hand but Jitsu slips the punch.
Cage thumps Jitsu with a low kick.
Cage tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jitsu was well out of range. Poor timing from Cage.
Cage misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Cage. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jitsu closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cage circles away.
Jitsu lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Jitsu will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Cage wants to land a leg kick but Jitsu is out of range.
Jitsu swings widly with a right hand
and Cage counters with a nice low kick that buckles Jitsu's knee momentarily.
Cage throws a solid leg kick but Jitsu takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Cage.
Jitsu listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jitsu has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Cage.
Cage defending well as Jitsu loads up on a big left hand.
The fighters circle momentarily. Cage darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Cage shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Jitsu is looking to improve his position.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Cage is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Cage trying to mount his opponent but Jitsu defends it.
Jitsu has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cage is working away from the top position though.
Jitsu is trying is best to control the position here.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jitsu tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Cage has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cage tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Jitsu holds on to Cage as tight as he can, avoiding damage.

Cage looking to control but Jitsu is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Jitsu tries to lock up and control but Cage gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Jitsu avoids a series of strikes thrown by Cage.

Cage is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jitsu.
A punch lands to the side of Cage 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Cage uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jitsu.
Cage throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Cage motions for Jitsu to come forward. Cage throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Cage scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cage goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Nick Cage is winning the standup battle so far.
Jitsu scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Cage tries a head kick but it misses.
Cage ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jitsu moves away.
Cage fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jitsu manages to avoid it.

Jitsu takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Jitsu avoids a kick to the body.
Cage pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Jitsu slips a jab and a cross from Cage.
Cage tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cage misses with a straight right.
A big left from Jitsu misses.

Cage connects with a solid leg kick.
Cage slaps away a takedown attempt from Jitsu, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Cage wants to land a leg kick but Jitsu is out of range.
Jitsu has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Cage finds it's way round the side to connect with Jitsu's head.
Sean Jitsu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Cage shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jitsu as he jumps to the side.

Cage fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nick Cage is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jitsu needs to keep his hands up - Cage had a free shot at his head there.
Cage connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jitsu. Jitsu circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Cage throws a quick inside leg kick.
Cage feints and then cracks Jitsu's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jitsu down.
Cage feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jitsus jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Jitsu avoids the head kick by Cage.

Cage drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Cage trying to control but Jitsu is working from the bottom.

Cage controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Cage wants to control from the top but Jitsu keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nick Cage wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Cage showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jitsu.
Cage slips a jab and a cross from Jitsu.
A solid leg kick lands there for Cage.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Jitsu crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Cage - the referee stops the clock and Jitsu gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Cage. Jitsu manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Cage buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jitsu is breathing heavily.
Cage lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
