Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jay Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simo Supermies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lopez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Can't be touched. Supermies has chosen D12 - Fight Music as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jay Lopez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lopez throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Supermies counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Supermies lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lopez circles away quickly and effectively.
Supermies bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lopez's head backwards.
Lopez throws a looping overhand right but Supermies ducks down to avoid it.
Lopez feints a jab promting Supermies to slip. Lopez then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Supermies slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Lopez lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Lopez throws a push kick but Supermies slaps the foot to one side.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Supermies takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Supermies lands a nice shot that snaps Lopez's head back.
Supermies throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A combination from Lopez does no damage.
Lopez is looking to clinch but Supermies is avoiding it.
Lopez swinging wildly here.
Lopez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Simo Supermies seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lopez misses with a combination
and Supermies counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lopez thinking.

Lopez takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Lopez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Supermies is looking to slow Lopez down with leg kicks.

Supermies fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Supermies forces Lopez back against the cage and clinches.

Supermies lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Lopez backwards.

Supermies wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Supermies tries to close the distance and clinch but Lopez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Supermies smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Supermies is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lopez.
Supermies thuds his right hand into Lopez's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Supermies slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Lopez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Supermies is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Lopez had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
