Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trefor Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mary Pubic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas comes to the cage accompanied by Back in Black - AC/DC. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pubic throws a nice looking combination but Thomas bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Pubic changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Thomas tries to avoid it but Pubic manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thomas to the ground. Thomas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

It looks like Pubic is going to stand back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Thomas slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Thomas wants to stand but Pubic is controlling the position.

Mary Pubic has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Thomas's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

After the fight, Trefor Thomas was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
