Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Takedown And Pound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Kirby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Takedown And Pound has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Takedown And Pound seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
And Pound looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kirby stuffs the takedown attempt from And Pound. And Pound gets slowly back to his feet.
Nice takedown defense from And Pound. No joy for Kirby on that attempt.
And Pound shoots and misses

and Kirby counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Takedown And Pound. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Kirby tries to pass the half guard into mount. And Pound knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kirby thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Kirby wants to take a breather but And Pound is having none of it.

And Pound pushes Kirby off and gets back to his feet.
Kirby fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
And Pound fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Kirby shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. And Pound is trying to defend but Kirby finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
And Pound tries to kick Kirby off but Kirby keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kirby trying to control the action but And Pound is working from the bottom.

And Pound has one foot on Kirby's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Kirby fails with a takedown attempt.
And Pound defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kirby.
And Pound shoots in for a takedown but Kirby shows good takedown defense.
Kirby is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kirby throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around And Pound's waist but And Pound gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kirby off to one side.
Kirby looks gassed!
And Pound dives in and grabs Kirby's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kirby pushes down on And Pound's head and hops out.
And Pound closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kirby circles away.
And Pound shoots for a takedown but Kirby saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
And Pound is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kirby sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kirby tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. And Pound manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Kirby shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Kirby trying to control the action but And Pound is working from the bottom.
And Pound might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kirby wants to stand up but And Pound manages to regain full guard.

And Pound is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
And Pound looking for a takedown.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

And Pound has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Kirby regains guard immediately.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
And Pound passes Kirby's left leg - he's now in half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kirby can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kirby is defending against the submission attempts here by And Pound.
And Pound frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
And Pound lands with some strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kirby takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! And Pound's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
