Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Pringle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Lancing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pringle comes to the cage accompanied by some heads are gonna roll. Eddie Pringle could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Aaron Lancing's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aaron Lancing!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pringle shoots in for a double leg but Lancing sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Pringle shoots in for a takedown but Lancing shows good takedown defense.
Lancing pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pringle shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eddie Pringle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A swing and a miss from Lancing.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Lancing tries to control but Pringle wriggling away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lancing tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Lancing looking for a guillotine from mount but Pringle is having none of it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lancing looking to control and managing it successfully.
Lancing misses with a head shot.

Lancing thowing shots but they're missing.
Poor strikes thrown by Lancing there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Pringle is breathing heavily.
Pringle is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Lancing controlling his opponent.

Lancing sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Lancing has hold of Pringle's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Pringle manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lancing sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pringle shoots in but Lancing avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A slow jab from Lancing misses its intended target.

Pringle has taken the fight to the clinch.

Lancing is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Lancing manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pringle manages to get himself to full guard.

Aaron Lancing has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Lancing throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Lancing stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Lancing is trying to break free.
Lancing stops a takedown attempt from Pringle.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Pringle as Lancing tries to tie him up.
Lancing drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Pringle gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Aaron Lancing showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Lancing misses with a takedown

and Pringle counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lancing's guard now.
Pringle wants to pass the guard but Lancing is keeping the position.

Lancing is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pringle defends well.

Lancing is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Lancing wants to get back to striking at distance but Pringle won't allow it.
A frustrated look appears on Lancing's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Pringle manages to break the clinch.

Lancing moves into the clinch.
Pringle fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lancing is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Lancing throws a punch but it's blocked by Pringle.

Pringle landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Lancing drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pringle pulls his leg out and moves away.
A right-left combo lands from Pringle.
Sloppy strikes from Lancing. Those never looked like landing.
Pringle fails with a takedown attempt.
Lancing tries for a takedown but Pringle sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Eddie Pringle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aaron Lancing.

Lancing throws a lazy head kick

so Pringle counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Pringle stays in close to Lancing's body and controls the position.
Lancing keeping full guard, as Pringle tries to pass.

Lancing wriggles free and stands up.
Lancing changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pringle tries to avoid it but Lancing manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pringle to the ground. Pringle escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lancing throws a shot to the body.
Lancing fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pringle avoids it really well and circles away.
Lancing tries a head kick but it misses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pringle is defended easily by Lancing.
Lancing tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pringle sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lancing somewhat.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Eddie Pringle.
Well Lancing has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
