Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Alexandrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cross Odenkirk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Alexandrov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cross Odenkirk!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Ivan Kurochkin and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Odenkirk scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Alexandrov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Odenkirk is trying to keep Alexandrov in close.
Alexandrov chips away with some ground and pound.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Alexandrov throwing strikes but missing.
Alexandrov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Alexandrov is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Odenkirk looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Alexandrov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Alexandrov stands and throws Odenkirk's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Odenkirk is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Alexandrov has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Odenkirk takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Alexandrov creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Odenkirk sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Alexandrov works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Alexandrov cracks Odenkirk with a big right hand but Odenkirk just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alexandrov fails to land a wild elbow strike.
You can see the frustration on Odenkirk's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Odenkirk tries to buck Alexandrov off but Alexandrov is having none of it.
Alexandrov is putting a hurting on Odenkirk here, landing some big shots from side control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Odenkirk can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Odenkirk is looking to escape.
Alexandrov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Odenkirk with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Alexandrov is nestled in close to Odenkirk, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Alexandrov connects with a nice short shot to Odenkirk's temple.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Odenkirk stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Odenkirk wants it to stay on the feet.
Fedor Alexandrov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Alexandrov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Odenkirk manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Alexandrov manages to get himself to full guard.
Odenkirk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alexandrov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Alexandrov pushes a forearm under Odenkirk's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Odenkirk is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
