Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chris Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lagarett Fitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fitz has chosen Nas - One mic as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lagarett Fitz!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Miller scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Miller is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Fitz reverses the position - he's now on top in Miller's guard.
Fitz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Miller works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Miller pulls Fitz in to control the position.
Miller looking for a sweep. Not yet Miller, not yet.
Fitz slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Miller tries to bench press Fitz off him but Fitz keeps the position.
Miller is working hard here to advance position.

Miller prevents Fitz from moving into mount.
Fitz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Miller keeps working.
Miller manages to work his way to half guard, despite Fitz's best efforts.
Miller is looking to escape.
Miller moves into full guard.
Miller looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fitz is one step ahead there.
Fitz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Miller is keeping the position for now.

Miller is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Miller wriggles free and stands up.

Miller shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Fitz tries to hold on but Miller pushes him away.

Miller throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Fitz is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fitz is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Miller landing strikes from the mount and Fitz is in trouble!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Miller lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Fitz is in a horrible position here. Miller smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fitz is desperately trying to improve his position but Miller has a good base and remains in mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Miller dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Fitz takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Miller closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fitz did well to prevent Miller getting side control.
Miller wants to control but Fitz is keeping him busy.
Fitz avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Miller.
Fitz trying to hold on to Miller's head to control him but Miller postures up.
Miller thows a huge punch but Fitz dodges it nicely.
Miller thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fitz's head.
Well, if Miller is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Fitz has hold of Miller's hands but Miller slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Miller lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Miller lands strikes from half guard.
Miller is just content to waste time from the top position. Fitz takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Miller wants to pass the guard but Fitz is keeping the position.

Miller looking to sit in guard and control but Fitz gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Fitz postures up.
Miller is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Fitz works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Miller works his way to full guard. Good work.
Chris Miller overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Fitz wants to control from the top but Miller keeps moving.
Miller is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Fitz looking to sit in guard and control but Miller gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Miller with a flurry of punches that miss.
Fitz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Miller!
Fitz misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Miller on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Miller tries to get out of the position.

Fitz avoids the attempt from Miller to control.
Miller is looking to get to half guard.
BOOM! Fitz connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Miller wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Fitz.
Miller is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Fitz is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Miller can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Fitz gets caught flat footed, as Miller shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Fitz utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Fitz looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Fitz is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fitz trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Miller trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Miller pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fitz is keeping the position for now.
Miller's corner is telling him to maintain position.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chris Miller.

Chris Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Miller misses the shot to the body.
Fitz just misses with a punch to the body.

Miller postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Fitz manages to work his way to half guard, despite Miller's best efforts.

Fitz has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Miller lands a couple of elbows.

Miller wanted to stand there but Fitz had control of the position.
Miller loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Miller makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Lagarett Fitz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Miller has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
