Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Omar Jackson!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Lou da Vinci and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Mikhael Volkoff has been cut.
A slow jab from Volkoff misses its intended target.
Volkoff gets the takedown into side control.
Volkoff misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A lull in the action here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Volkoff wants to control but Jackson is keeping him busy.
Volkoff is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Volkoff wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working.

Volkoff is really struggling to control Jackson but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Jackson is looking to improve his position but Volkoff isn't that keen on the idea.

Volkoff is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Jackson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Jackson!

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mikhael Volkoff just wasn't active enough.

Jackson looks to land a combination but Volkoff avoids it well.

Jackson stalks Volkoff and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Volkoff's face. Volkoff staggers backwards, shaken.
Volkoff throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jackson's waist but Jackson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Volkoff off to one side.
Omar Jackson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sloppy strikes from Volkoff. Those never looked like landing.
Jackson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jackson.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Volkoff misses with a straight left.
Jackson looks to land a body kick but Volkoff moved away.

Jackson lands a big shot that drops Volkoff! Can he finish him?
Volkoff is rocked!
Mikhael Volkoff's cut is getting worse.
Jackson wants to get up but he can't break Volkoff's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Oh Volkoff is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Volkoff comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

That's time! Volkoff's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Jackson slips under a jab from Volkoff.
Jackson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Volkoff.
Volkoff on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Jackson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Volkoff throws out the jab.
Jackson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Volkoff. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Volkoff pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Volkoff does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Jackson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jackson throws a series of punches but Volkoff moves out of range.

Jackson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Volkoff was well out of range. Poor timing from Jackson.

Volkoff tries to bum rush Jackson with a series of wild strikes but Jackson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Jackson throws a leg kick but Volkoff sees it coming and moves out of range.
Jackson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Volkoff darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jackson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Volkoff stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Volkoff with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jackson to score with a decent uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Mikhael Volkoff will probably get the nod.

and Volkoff counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
