Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jett Padilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akira Tamagachi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Padilla's entrance music is In da club - 50 cent. A fine choice. Jett Padilla has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jett Padilla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akira Tamagachi!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Tamagachi.
Tamagachi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tamagachi throws a right hand that Padilla ducks under and follows up with a left that Padilla also avoids with ease.
Tamagachi dodges the punch combination from Padilla.
Padilla swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The fight stays on the outside here - Padilla looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Tamagachi shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Padilla manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Tamagachi decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Padilla, up you get!

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Akira Tamagachi.

Tamagachi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Tamagachi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Padilla. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tamagachi drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Padilla dives on top into guard.

Tamagachi manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Padilla regains half guard.
Tamagachi content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Padilla is in trouble now - Tamagachi has advanced to mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Padilla sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Tamagachi is just content to waste time from the top position. Padilla takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Tamagachi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Padilla can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tamagachi controls the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Padilla rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tamagachi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Tamagachi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Padilla to the mat! Padilla manages to get full guard.

Padilla can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tamagachi controls the pace.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Tamagachi is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jett Padilla wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Padilla tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tamagachi paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Tamagachi fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Padilla to the ground. Tamagachi is now in Padilla's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Akira Tamagachi was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Padilla tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Tamagachi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Tamagachi throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Padilla was covering up waiting for the punch and Tamagachi finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Tamagachi is breathing heavily.
Tamagachi throws a strike but Padilla rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Tamagachi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Padilla is looking to clinch.

Tamagachi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Padilla is refusing to be controlled, as Tamagachi sits in half guard.

Tamagachi decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Tamagachi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Tamagachi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Padilla is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Tamagachi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tamagachi throws some wild stikes that Padilla manages to avoid easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Akira Tamagachi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

We're going to have a standup here because Jett Padilla wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Tamagachi lands a nice looking body kick.

Padilla wants to stand but Tamagachi has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Tamagachi wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Padilla accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Tamagachi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Padilla manages to get himself to full guard.

Tamagachi lying in Padilla's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Padilla decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Tamagachi taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jett Padilla!
Our winner, Jett Padilla, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
