The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Steve Montenegro and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson misses with a two punch combination.
Wilson lands a slapping body shot.
Morgan throws a series of punches but Wilson avoids them all with ease.
Wilson tries to close the distance and clinch but Morgan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Wilson moves into the clinch.
Wilson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Morgan manages to break the clinch.
Wilson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Morgan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Morgan keeps the fight on the outside.
Morgan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wilson.
Wilson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Morgan takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Wilson loads up on a big right hand but Morgan slips the punch.

and Morgan counters with a shoot takedown. Wilson fights it but they end up in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Morgan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Morgan manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Morgan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Morgan lands in his opponent's guard.
Wilson is looking to stand up but Morgan isn't so interested in that idea.

so Morgan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Morgan has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Morgan takes one to the side of the head.
Morgan throws the left hand but Wilson avoids the punch easily.

Wilson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Morgan is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Wilson pulls his head out easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wilson sizes up Morgan with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

and Morgan counters with a body kick that stops Wilson in his tracks momentarily.

Morgan rushes Wilson and presses him up against the cage.
Wilson wants to get back to striking at distance but Morgan won't allow it.
Morgan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Wilson pulls his leg out and moves away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Wilson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Morgan. Morgan circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
BOOM! Wilson lands a beautiful left hook that drops Morgan. Morgan tries to recover but Wilson is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Morgan lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
