PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brad Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Faulkner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Barnes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Red Right Hand - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Faulkner has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Randy Faulkner will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barnes clinches with his opponent.
Barnes presses Faulkner against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
No joy there for Barnes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Barnes bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Barnes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Faulkner tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Faulkner moves out of range of the strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Faulkner with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Barnes to score with a decent uppercut.

Barnes feints and then cracks Faulkner's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Faulkner down.
Brad Barnes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Barnes misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A right handed body shot lands from Barnes.
Barnes pushes Faulkner back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Barnes tries to land a knee to the head but Faulkner blocks with his arms.

Barnes cracks Faulkner with a nice body shot.

Barnes lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Barnes throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Barnes rushes Faulkner and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Barnes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Faulkner takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Barnes feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Faulkner crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
