The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Steel or perhaps it was just good defense by Anderson which made him look bad.
A looping hook to the body misses from Anderson. Steel does a little dance to reset his feet.
Anderson digs a good body shot into Steel's ribs.
Steel fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Steel keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Anderson misses with a body shot.

Steel throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Anderson was covering up waiting for the punch and Steel finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Anderson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Steel is one step ahead there.

Steel tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Steel has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Anderson is trying to control but Steel passes into side control!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Steel wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Anderson, who protects the arm well.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Anderson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Steel manages to avoid it.

Steel clinches up against the cage.

Steel turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Steel manages to end up in side control.

so Steel counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Anderson looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Steel puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Anderson is trying to escape back to his feet but Steel uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Anderson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Steel pulls his leg out and moves away.

Anderson is working for takedown but Steel is calmly controlling the position for now.
