The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scalante is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Diaz.
Scalante avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Romy Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Scalante digs a good body shot into Diaz's ribs.
Diaz throws an overhand right that lands on Scalante's shoulder, as Scalante tries to avoid the shot.
Scalante lands a nice hook to Diaz's body. Diaz takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Scalante throws a body punch but Diaz moves out of range.
Scalante drops his hands momentarily and Diaz takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
