Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Black Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Cristos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cristos has chosen Cypress Hill - Hand on the Pump as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Martin Cristos was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cristos.
Cristos lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hammer's sensitive parts.
Hammer lands with a cross.
Hammer wants to slow Cristos down by chopping away at his legs.
Hammer attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Martin Cristos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hammer throws a head kick but Cristos moves out of range.
A head kick misses from Hammer.
Donk. Cristos catches Hammer right on the button with a cross.
Hammer throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A slapping body kick lands there for Hammer.
Cristos comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A big right from Cristos misses.

Hammer shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Cristos is trying to control but can't.

Cristos is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hammer pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cristos is looking for a sweep. Hammer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Hammer keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Cristos wants to improve his position but Hammer is controlling well.
Cristos moves into full guard.
Hammer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cristos works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hammer working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Cristos's head.
Cristos is trying to control the position but Hammer postures up.
Cristos looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Hammer with a flurry of punches that miss.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cristos is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hammer tries to free his leg and advance position but Cristos is retaining full guard.
Hammer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Cristos controls Hammer momentarily but Hammer frees himself.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Martin Cristos hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Hammer walks into a left hand.
Cristos throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Cristos throws a push kick but Hammer slaps the foot to one side.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hammer pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Hammer lands with a kick to the ribs.

Hammer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cristos working a defensive guard here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hammer is working Cristos over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Hammer passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Check out the look on Hammer's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Cristos is looking to regain half guard here but Hammer keeps moving and retains side control.
Cristos wants to control but Hammer postures up.
Hammer scores with a couple of short elbows.
Hammer in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Cristos is looking to reverse the position.
Hammer is working Cristos over with some ground and pound from side control.

Cristos is rocked!

It looks like Martin Cristos has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cristos is trying to get back to half guard.
Cristos is still in real trouble! Can Hammer finish him?
Hammer is chipping away with strikes.
Hammer looks up at the clock and then as Cristos takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Hammer smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
A big shot lands for Hammer! That's hurt Cristos! Will he recover? Hammer fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Black Hammer!
