Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Perseus Poseidon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frederick Rhodes!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Poseidon or perhaps it was just good defense by Rhodes which made him look bad.
Rhodes looks to land a combination but Poseidon avoids it well.
Rhodes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Poseidon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Poseidon finds Rhodes's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Rhodes flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Poseidon lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Rhodes will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Perseus Poseidon!
Perseus Poseidon gave a mention to No Limits in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
