The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Midget tries to close the distance and clinch but Sable swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sable lands a nice looking body kick.
Sable loads up on a big right hand but Midget slips the punch.
Sable ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Midget moves away.
Sable uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Midget.
Midget smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Midget pushes Sable away with a front kick.
Sable loads up on a big right hand but Midget slips the punch.
Midget misses with an attempted mid kick.
Sable blocks the body kick.
Midget displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Masaru Midget seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Midget darts in and clinches Sable up against the cage.
Midget lands an uppercut.
A frustrated look appears on Sable's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Midget swings wildly with an uppercut but Sable uses good head movement to avoid it.
Midget is working Sable over against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Midget lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Nice body punch from Midget - that landed with a thud.
Sable looks gassed!
Midget lands a nice shot to the body.
Midget gets through Sable's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Midget misses with a body punch.
Sable misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Midget.

Midget escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Midget lands a brutal head kick. Sable looks out on his feet and Midget throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Masaru Midget spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
