The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
El Banana shoots in but Cannon avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Cannon fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. El Banana sprawls well initially but Cannon persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

El Banana is staying active underneath Cannon, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

El Banana has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cannon is working away from the top position though.
El Banana pushes Cannon off but Cannon dives into side control.

Cannon is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt El Banana will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Cannon tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cannon has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Cannon has hold of El Banana's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! El Banana tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Cannon cranks the arm and El Banana screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from El Banana, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
