Silva comes into a darkened arena with his song building. March of the Swiss Soldiers kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Silva gets caught napping as Bowers dives in and scores a takedown. Silva manages to retain guard.
Silva looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bowers has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Bowers's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Bowers is looking to stand up but Silva won't let him.

Bowers prevents Silva from getting back to his feet.
Silva had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bowers defends it easily.
Silva is working an open guard so Bowers takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Silva fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

It looks like Hiho Silva has been cut.

Silva takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Bowers forces Silva back against the cage and clinches.
Bowers lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Bowers gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Bowers lands with a kick to the ribs.
Bowers gets a clinch.
Bowers turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Bowers manages to end up in side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bowers decides to stand up, so the ref orders Silva to his feet.
Bowers has closed the distance and engaged Silva in a clinch.
Silva is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bowers gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Tommy Bowers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiho Silva.
Silva goes for a takedown attempt but Bowers pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bowers has Silva up against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bowers manages to pull guard.
Bowers wants to sweep but no luck.
Bowers pushes Silva off and scrambles back to his feet.
Bowers has managed to clinch.
Bowers manages to pull guard.
Silva is sitting in close to Bowers's body. Bowers has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Silva is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Silva is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Bowers.
