The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bird throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
The Machine Gun misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
The Machine Gun misses with a head kick.
Bird slaps away a takedown attempt from The Machine Gun , before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bird sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
The Machine Gun fails to land the takedown.
Angry Bird has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim The Machine Gun .
The Machine Gun delivers a nice body kick.

Angry Bird is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The Machine Gun moves into range and clinches up with Bird.
The Machine Gun tries to score a body lock takedown but Bird shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

The Machine Gun is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bird gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bird is trying to break the clinch but The Machine Gun is controlling him.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The Machine Gun takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Tim The Machine Gun has been cut.

The Machine Gun swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bird counters with a lovely straight right hand!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Angry Bird is winning the standup battle so far.

Bird lands a hook that stumbles The Machine Gun back into the cage. Bird follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping The Machine Gun to the canvas! Bird pounces and lands several unanswered shots - The Machine Gun has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
