PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pencil Neck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doug DeSouza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Neck comes to the cage accompanied by Deep Purple - Bad Attitude. The crowd seem to be enjoying DeSouza's choice of entrance music: freedom. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeSouza lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Neck at a distance.
Neck walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Neck is trying hard to land a takedown here. DeSouza sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Neck fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with DeSouza, pushing him back against the cage.

DeSouza has Neck pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. DeSouza pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Neck tumbling to the mat - DeSouza dives into Neck's guard.

DeSouza drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and DeSouza jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Neck isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. DeSouza stacks Neck on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by DeSouza!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

DeSouza feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

DeSouza turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and DeSouza manages to end up in side control.

I would just about give that final round to Doug DeSouza.
Well DeSouza has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
