The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kantana displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Key.

and Kantana decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Key's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kantana sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Key's guard.
Key tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Kantana has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Kantana goes for an armbar but Key turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Key.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Key throws a big right hand that misses.
Key throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kantana works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kantana is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Kantana wants to stand up but Key is controlling him.
Kantana will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Key must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Key throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kantana works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Key is looking to work some ground and pound but Kantana has wrist control.
Key throws a strike but Kantana rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Key is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kantana is aware though and is defending well.

Kantana drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kantana jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Key has Kantana pulled in close to control his posture.
Kantana wants to get up but he can't break Key's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Key is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Key with the ground and pound but Kantana uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Key is sitting in close to Kantana's body. Kantana has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Key is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Key is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kantana.
