Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bondoc throws a big shot that misses.
Band looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Band shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bondoc as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ister Band. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bondoc throws a hook but Band avoids it easily.

so Band counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Band drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Band jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bondoc is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Band defends well.

Band keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bondoc's head.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bondoc can do anything to dispel that myth.

Band drops back looking for a leg! Bondoc is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bondoc manages to kick Band off! Band jumps back into Bondoc's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Band slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Band has hold of Bondoc's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Bondoc tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Band cranks the arm and Bondoc screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Bondoc, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
