The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vlad uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Carween.
The crowd cheers as Carween lands an impressive looking overhand right. Vlad doesn't seem phased though.
Carween misses with a series of wild punches.
Vlad slips a straight right by Carween.
Carween lands a jab.
Carween throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vlad.
Vlad with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Carween to score with a decent uppercut.

It looks like Olbrzymi Vlad has been cut.

Vlad drops Carween with a left and a right! Oh, Carween is hurt - Vlad dives into side control looking to finish!
Vlad throws an elbow but Carween slips to the side and avoids it well.

Vlad decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Carween scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Carween gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Carween tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Vlad is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Carween buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Carween!! Carween is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Vlad throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Olbrzymi Vlad! Olbrzymi Vlad retains his super heavyweight title!
